Terms of Service – Hansa Teutonica Online

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hansa Teutonica Online ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Hansa Teutonica Online is a digital implementation of the Hansa Teutonica board game, currently offered as an Early Access prototype. The Service is provided free of charge and is subject to change or discontinuation at any time without notice. Features, rules, and availability may change as development continues.

3. Accounts & Sign-In

You may play solo games without an account. To play online with other players, you must sign in using Google Sign-In. By signing in, you also agree to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time from the profile menu. Deletion removes your personal data (name, email, Google identifier) from our systems. Game records in which you participated are anonymised rather than deleted, as they may form part of other players' game histories.

4. Display Name

When you sign in, your display name is set to your first name and last initial from Google (e.g. "Leo B."). You may change this at any time from the profile menu. Your display name is visible to other players in shared games.

You must not use a display name that impersonates another person, is offensive, or violates any applicable law. We reserve the right to remove or change display names that violate this policy.

5. Intellectual Property

The Hansa Teutonica board game design and associated materials are the intellectual property of their respective rights holders (Pegasus Spiele). This digital implementation and its original code, artwork, and presentation are © 2026 Hanseatic Games. All rights reserved. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from this implementation without explicit written permission.

6. User Conduct

You agree to use the Service in good faith. You must not:

Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics to gain an unfair advantage.
Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Early Access Disclaimer

The Service is provided in Early Access form and is offered "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from bugs, or preservation of game data. Saved games may be reset during updates.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Leo Balan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were most recently revised.
